Mike Amundson Named President & CEO of Brown Printing Company

Hamburg, Germany, January 2, 2013 - Mike Amundson, currently CFO and EVP of the Catalog Market Segment at Brown Printing Company, has been appointed President and CEO.

Volker Petersen, currently President and CEO of Brown, will retire as planned June 30th, 2013 and devote his next few months to a smooth business transition.

“We appreciate the strong leadership Volker Petersen has provided to Brown’s business and wish him success as he pursues new challenges. Volker has excelled throughout his 24 years with G&J and we thank him very much for all his contributions, ” said Achim Twardy, CFO at Gruner + Jahr (G+J). “Mike Amundson’s appointment to lead Brown will ensure continued success at the high level Brown has consistently achieved over its 35 years as a division of G+J and its 55 year history overall.”

Amundson started with Brown in 2005 as CFO. Prior to joining Brown, Mike was the Chief Operating Officer of The Hadley Companies and a Partner at Coopers & Lybrand. Mike and his wife Cindi will continue to be located at Brown’s headquarters in Waseca, Minnesota.
