June 30, 2009
Audubon, PA – June 30, 2009 – Really Strategies, Inc. announced today the successful acquisition of DocZone.com®, a SaaS XML content management provider. DocZone.com is known for its affordable DITA-based technical publications solution that is easy to configure and use. The acquisition will complement Really Strategies’ RSuite product line, offering publishers, media companies, and technical publishers an array of pricing and implementation models that fit their business needs. With the addition of DocZone.com, Really Strategies has an established customer base in several new markets, including Fortune 500 technology and manufacturing companies. The acquisition was led by Brook Venture Partners. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
“Really Strategies now offers even more content management solutions to suit specific business and infrastructure needs, ” stated Barry Bealer, president and CEO of Really Strategies, Inc. “Publishers have expressed a desire for options regarding where systems are managed, the ability to customize versus out-of-the-box features, and a range of pricing models associated with these options. Now, with a solution set that includes both DocZone.com and RSuite, publishers can choose the business model that best suits their environment.”
With over 100 clients in the publishing, media, and technical publications markets, the combined company will be headquartered in Audubon, PA, with a strong European presence to serve a global client base.
“The combination of RSuite and DocZone.com puts Really Strategies into a very strong market position,” notes Bill Trippe, Senior Analyst at The Gilbane Group. “By providing a spectrum of content management deployment and licensing options, Really Strategies enables publishers and technical publishing organizations to select the option that best fits their needs and their budget.”
“I am very pleased to see DocZone.com become part of Really Strategies. Our companies share a unified vision of how to address the needs of the publishing marketplace, and our combined team represents the most experienced staff in the industry,” stated Dan Dube, former CEO of DocZone.com and now Senior Vice President, Sales and Marketing at Really Strategies. “With DocZone.com as the market leader in SaaS XML content management and RSuite as the only award-winning content management system for publishers, we see a bright future together."
“We were looking for a SaaS company to complement the Really Strategies portfolio of solutions,” commented Walter Beinecke, Managing Partner of Brook Venture Partners. “DocZone.com emerged as the clear leader among XML content management vendors who offer a SaaS solution. We are enormously impressed with DocZone.com's products, customer base, and business model. We feel that combining Really Strategies and DocZone.com makes for a very compelling company that is far stronger than each organization individually.”
