Agility Unveils Turn-key Online Solution For Magazines
(Press Release) Toronto, ON, February 16, 2012—Agility launches a new solution for managing online content exclusively for the magazine publishing industry. Magazines will be able to launch new online channels quickly, rapidly increase their traffic and raise the overall value of their site for advertisers.
According to Magazines Canada - Consumer Magazine Factbook, Canada has the highest number of consumer magazines per capita. Online channels are an opportunity for publishers to more fully engage their audience and to capture new revenue.
“The large magazine publishers are investing millions of dollars in online systems and solutions with variable success, while smaller magazines are having trouble making the push to online,” states Agility CEO, Michael Assad. “Physical magazine readership is dropping dramatically and the lost revenue threatens serious damage to the industry. Our magazine package is designed to bring magazines online following best practices we’ve learned over the last 10 years of working with Canada’s largest media companies – at a fraction of the cost of building solutions from scratch.”
“Magazines are currently spending 6 or more months figuring out what they want to do online and another 6 months selecting vendors and implementing a solution” says Andre Gaulin, Director of Agility Solutions. “With our new solution, magazines can be up and running in a matter of weeks with online systems that outperform custom built alternatives.”
Agility is currently powering magazine sites for Robert Kennedy Publishing, St. Joseph Media and Family Communications.
Agility works with broadcasters and publishers to help maximize the value of their digital content. The Agility CMS is a cloud-based platform that drastically reduces the time and cost of keeping text, image and video content up-to-date. Their digital framework provides the building blocks to rapidly deploy publishing solutions across web, mobile and social media.
Agility was founded in 2002 and is headquartered in Toronto Canada. Customers include Cineplex, Oprah Winfrey Network, Robert Kennedy Publishing and Business News Network.
