With over 800 entries, contestants are judged based on a defined set of criteria specific to each of the categories, such as informational and entertainment value, quality of writing and display copy, creative use of imagery and typography, and consistency of color palette and style. UBM's Design Central's app EE Times 40th Anniversary also won CMA gold in the Digital Magazine Design category "Best Overall Design."
