Better Investing Magazine Names Editor
MADISON HEIGHTS, Mich., March 18, 2005 -- The National Association of
Investors Corp. (NAIC) has named Adam Ritt editor of its monthly magazine,
Better Investing. Ritt joined NAIC in 2002 as the magazine's managing editor
and served as acting editor for the past year. The magazine has a circulation
of more than 200,000.
"As managing editor, Adam brought leadership and new ideas to Better
Investing magazine," says Richard A. Holthaus, NAIC president and CEO. "Now
with Adam at the helm, we look forward to the continued success of Better
Investing as a tool to help create a nation of educated investors."
Ritt has more than 17 years of professional journalism and editorial
experience. Before joining Better Investing, Ritt was executive editor of New
Steel magazine, an award-winning publication for the steel industry, where he
served for seven years. He has taught undergraduate and graduate copy-
editing courses at Northwestern University's Medill School of Journalism.
While with New Steel, two articles, for which Ritt was primary editor, received
1995 and 1996 Chilton Co. Editorial Awards for Best News/Analysis. He also
was primary editor for an article with Relax, a travel magazine for physicians,
which won a Peter Lisagor Award for photojournalism from the Chicago
Several of Ritt's Better Investing articles have been reprinted in various
publications. His article, "World of ADRs," is currently being used in a 400-
level accounting course at the University of Washington.
Ritt has a bachelor's degree in economics from Northwestern University and a
master's degree in journalism from Northwestern's Medill School of Journalism.
