NEW YORK-- Dozens of exhibitors at the world's largest new media conference and tradeshow, BlogWorld & New Media Expo, launched cutting edge products, platforms and Internet technology. Several exhibitors also released exclusive study results providing insights into the new media industry. Exhibitor highlights from BlogWorld, taking place June 5-7 at the Jacob Javits Convention Center include:
COMMUN.IT (Booth 110) – From Israel, Commun.it launched its public beta, which is a free service that makes it easy for businesses and professionals that use Twitter to build and nurture relationships in a business context. Commun.it turns the stream-oriented world of Twitter to a relationship-oriented dashboard, yielding significant benefits. These include providing: focus on high-value members, actionable insights to build meaningful relationships and stress-fee social productivity.
IZEA INC. (Booth 419) – IZEA, the world leader in Social Media Sponsorship, released its third annual State of SMS Report. The report includes data from IZEA's May 2012 survey of advertisers, marketers and social media consultants, and influencers including bloggers, tweeters and Facebook users. The study found that:
• SMS campaigns are becoming more sophisticated and expanding well-beyond celebrities to include everyday social media users.
• 28 percent of influencers report spending over 160 hours per month using social media - the equivalent of a full time job
OVERBLOG (Booth 313) – Overblog came from France to launch its platform that brings a user's fragmented social and blog posts from across the web into one single real-time stream, giving bloggers visibility, consistency and exposure. Overblog presents a study co-led with BlogWorld, entitled The blogging secrets of 5,000 influencers from around the world. Jason Falls, named by Forbes as one of the top 10 most influential social media personalities, will be joining the team to co-present the findings.
RAWPORTER (Booth 102) – Rawporter, the video and photo-sharing marketplace, announced the release of its WordPress plugin. Specifically designed for bloggers, this plugin makes it easier than ever for anyone to request inexpensive, credible photos and videos on demand. Now, rather than negotiating copyright with photos and videos found on the web, bloggers can send location-based assignments to thousands of Rawporters worldwide. Users simply use the plugin to type the details and deadline of the assignment, choose a price, and select a location.
