Bonnier Tech Titles Now Available on Newsstand
(Press Release) New York, NY (October 13, 2011)—Bonnier today announced its key tech titles, Popular Science, Popular Photography and Sound + Vision are now available on Newsstand, a key feature of iOS 5.
Newsstand is an exciting new feature that allows consumers to find digital newspaper and magazine products in one dedicated place on the App Store, and organize them in one easy-to-organize bookshelf. Users who are subscribed to Popular Science, Popular Photography and Sound + Vision will receive new issues automatically on their iPad. Latest issues and most recent cover art will simply appear in Newsstand.
Bonnier was the first publisher to launch a magazine title, Popular Science, on iPad when it hit the consumer market in April 2010. Popular Photography introduced its iPad edition in September 2010 and Sound + Vision in July 2011.
"We are extremely excited to have a dedicated place for consumers to find our magazines, as well as offer great new features such as automatic downloads for subscribers," said Bonnier's Technology Group VP and Group Publisher Gregg Hano. "We have seen great success with the introduction of subscriptions on iPad, and Newsstand will only enable us to better reach a targeted audience with a cleaner and more organized system—which is a win win for both publishers and consumers."
