BusinessWeek Partners With LinkedIn to Reach Business Professionals
BusinessWeek.com announced yesterday that it has agreed to a pair of partnerships with the online professional network LinkedIn. Through these partnerships, BusinessWeek.com plans to integrate content and technology to make actionable business information available to users of LinkedIn.
Under the two-way partnership, BusinessWeek.com and Capital IQ, a division of Standard & Poor’s, are providing select company data for LinkedIn.com’s new Company Profile feature, which was unveiled March 20. Users who click on the Company Profile feature find a business overview consisting of industry statistics provided by BusinessWeek and Capital IQ, plus information about that company from LinkedIn.
In turn, BusinessWeek.com has added the Company Insider feature, through which users can view their professional contacts at LinkedIn companies featured in BusinessWeek.com articles. This feature marks the first of several LinkedIn applications that will be integrated into the site.
