Condé Nast Poised to Accelerate Growth of Newly Acquired ZipList
New York, NY, April 11, 2012—Condé Nast announced today the acquisition of ZipList, Inc., the technology leader in universal online and mobile shopping lists and recipe boxes. The acquisition positions Condé Nast’s digital food brands among ZipList’s biggest clients and infuses that company with resources which will continue to drive innovation, growth and scale.
The robust technology ZipList provides is simple: Digital and mobile users can populate their universal recipe box and shopping list with recipes from anywhere on the web, including food sites, e-cookbooks and blogs. They can also save recipes to their universal recipe box using texts and QR codes, or via their mobile device. Combining this robust functionality with the high-quality content available on Epicurious and other Condé Nast food brands enables consumers to have a one-stop digital recipe and shopping list network offering tremendous ease and flexibility.
ZipList will continue to operate independently from its headquarters in Northern Virginia and provide its industry-leading technology solutions to more than 6,500 food partner sites and blogs such as MarthaStewart.com, Simply Recipes and Skinnytaste.com. The resources provided via this acquisition will fuel their technology development process and continued growth.
