Consumer-magazine Web site traffic climbed 8.5 percent over the same period of 2007, announced the Magazine Publishers of America (MPA) this week. Consumer-magazine sites averaged 69.7 million unique monthly visitors during Q2, more than 5 million more than Q2 2007.
“This latest data shoes that the audience for magazine brands continues to grow,” says Nina Link, president and CEO of MPA. “Visitors to our sites are attracted to our filtered content and unique voice, and they want to be part of the vibrant community that flourishes around great magazine brands.”
The sites proved stickier this year, too, as visitors spent an average of more than 2.05 billion minutes per month during the second quarter, a 21.5-percent increase versus last year’s second quarter.
