Press Release: Cosmopolitan for Latinas to Increase Frequency in 2014
NEW YORK, October 16, 2013 - Cosmopolitan for Latinas, the magazine for the English-speaking Hispanic woman in the U.S., today announced that the title will increase its frequency to five issues in 2014 while maintaining its distribution of 545,000.
The premiere issue of Cosmopolitan for Latinas launched in May 2012 with the Spring/Summer issue, which was then followed by a Fall/Winter issue. The magazine received an overwhelmingly positive response from both the Latina community and from advertisers who are focusing sharply on the Hispanic market, which led to an increased frequency of four issues in 2013. Advertising pages for the Fall 2013 issue are +40% from the previous Summer 2013 issue.
"It became clear to us prior to launching Cosmo for Latinas that the female Hispanic population feels strongly about both their Latina and American heritages and the traditional channels were not meeting their media needs," said Donna Kalajian Lagani, SVP/Publishing Director, Cosmopolitan and Cosmopolitan for Latinas. "The Hispanic market continues to grow at a rapid pace and we are thrilled that we have been able to fill this void in the media industry for both Latina women and our marketing partners."
"Cosmopolitan for Latinas is the definitive voice of today's bilingual Latina who is sexy, stylish and intelligent, and wants to see herself reflected in the pages of a women's lifestyle magazine," said Michelle Herrera Mulligan, Editor in Chief, Cosmopolitan for Latinas. "We look forward to providing our readers with even more fun, fearless Latina content in 2014."
