David Magazine Hits Las Vegas
(Press Release) LAS VEGAS—David Magazine, a bold, innovative monthly publication covering the Las Vegas Valley from a Jewish perspective, premieres Thursday, April 29. Created by Jewish Ink, LLC, David Magazine combines the best of a slick city magazine with the sought-for news and stories readers have come to expect from niche publications, resulting in a never-before-seen product.
“Months of careful thought and planning have gone into David Magazine so that we could give the Las Vegas Valley a new voice. We’ve designed it so that it is a true cross-over publication, appealing to Jews and non-Jews alike,” said Max Friedland, the magazine’s co-founder and co-publisher, along with his wife, Joanne Friedland, director of advertising sales.
Every issue of David Magazine will feature a vast array of lively content touching on all aspects of life in Las Vegas and beyond. Topics will include spotlights on philanthropic efforts, profiles of exciting and innovative people and businesses, the world of fine art and culture, cooking and dining, nightlife, entertainment and more. Each month, it also will deliver thought-provoking essays on all manner of subjects, designed to provoke and stimulate discussion. Its online presence at DavidLV.com will include stories and information not found in the magazine, including a full calendar of events.
“It’s a magazine that will have something in it for everyone, regardless of their background,” said Martin Stein, David Magazine’s editor, “while at the same time being a publication that will investigate exactly what it means to be Jewish in 21^st century Las Vegas, whether you’re practicing your faith or not.”
“If you look at other similar publications from around the country, we’ve really designed David Magazine to have a fresh, modern look that you can’t find anywhere else,” added art director Adam Bucci. “We’re taking the old paradigm and standing it on its head, from our choice in cover art to our last page.”
