Discover the Next Media Disruptors at FUSE Media Startup Derby
At the 2017 FUSE Media technology summit on September 6-8, Publishing Executive will host the FUSE Media Startup Derby to help publishing leaders discover new solutions for their businesses. New technology is constantly bubbling up in the media industry. A shiny new tool that seems like a distraction one minute could become an industry game changer the next. In the FUSE Media Startup Derby we’ll pit emerging media tech startups against each other to determine who offers the most value and opportunity to media enterprises. The elite FUSE audience will be the ultimate decision makers, crowning the 2017 FUSE Startup Derby Champion.
The goal of the Startup Derby is to help publishers sort through the plethora of new solutions on offer and identify new opportunities for their businesses. The Derby will gather the hottest technology startups in one place so that publishers can compare their solutions side-by-side and stay ahead of industry disruption.
“FUSE’s Startup Derby provides a unique opportunity for startups to showcase how their solutions will impact the media business in a Shark Tank-like format,” says Publishing Executive publisher Matt Steinmetz. “FUSE’s overall mission is to accelerate the adoption of technology in media and we look forward to providing a platform for some of the industry’s most youthful and creative technology partners to be part of that conversation.”
At the 2016 FUSE Media summit, seven startups participated in the inaugural FUSE Media Startup Derby. Content management and audience data platform Quintype was crowned the 2016 Champion. Watch all seven startup presentations below.
The Startup Derby is part of a larger effort to discover emerging technology in the media space. Last year, Publishing Executive launched the guest blog Media Pitch, which invites startups to showcase their unique solution and explain how it’s driving results for publishers. Recent Media Pitch contributors include Sourcepoint and Appticles. Learn more about Media Pitch and its submission guidelines here.
