Publishers are investing significant time and energy into revamping their websites to attract readers on mobile devices. Along with makings sites responsive and creating short content ideal for smaller screens, publishers need to take into consideration mobile search. Google reports that more web searches are conducted on mobile devices than on desktop. That means publishers need to manage SEO with mobile in mind.
According to Publishing Executive’s sister publication Target Marketing, mobile SEO is a completely different ballgame from desktop SEO. It’s a different struggle to get to the top of the mobile SERPs (search engine ranking pages), a different struggle to get mobile users to click through, and a different struggle to get them to convert once they’re on your site. Target Marketing will address the challenges of mobile SEO in a free webinar “Search Marketing in the Mobile Age: How smartphones impact your SEO and SEM strategy.”
The webinar will be hosted on February 24th at 2PM ET and is geared toward marketers, but the lessons are no less applicable to those in the publishing industry. The webinar will offer strategies for increasing a site’s mobile search ranking, engaging mobile readers once they reach the site, and improving mobile conversion rates. Marketing leaders Brian Massey, conversion strategist at Conversion Sciences LLC, and Phil Frost, founder and COO of Main Street ROI, will share their expertise during this discussion.
