Gilt Groupe and GQ Announce Online Boutique
(Press Release) NEW YORK, June 16, 2011—Park & Bond, the upcoming full-price men's retail site from Gilt Groupe, Inc., and GQ announced an e-commerce strategy today. Park & Bond will host a GQ online store that will feature a selection of products handpicked from the pages of the magazine by the editors of GQ. Beginning with the September issue, the picks will be designated in-book as well as compiled on GQ.com, driving readers directly to the GQ online store on Park & Bond to purchase instantly.
"This is a natural partnership for us, and a great way for us to get our feet wet in the world of e-commerce, but in the end what matters is that it serves our readers," said GQ Editor-in-Chief Jim Nelson. "Our readers have always shopped from our pages. We're just making it easier for them."
"Park & Bond will be the ultimate resource for men's retail, and who better to join forces with than GQ, the indisputable authority on men's style for the past 50 years," said John Auerbach, President of Park & Bond. "We're absolutely thrilled about working together and feel that it's a huge vote of confidence that GQ has decided to take their first step into the e-commerce space with us."
As previously announced, Park & Bond will launch in late summer with a highly curated selection of approximately 80 brands and will outfit the luxury customer with a mix of fashion and wardrobe staples. Launch brands include Alexander McQueen, Isaia, Etro, Paul Smith, N. Hoolywood, A.P.C., Neil Barrett, Thomas Pink, Todd Snyder, Vince, Theory, Common Projects, Brooks Brothers, and Florsheim by Duckie Brown, among others.
