IDEAlliance Announces First G7 Summit
IDEAlliance (International Digital Enterprise Alliance), a not-for-profit organization focused on information technology and publishing, this week announced it will launch a new event focusing on its G7 Proof-to-Press Specification. The summit will highlight technical refinements to G7 and feature G7 case studies.
The first G7 Calibration Tolerances Report Card will be presented along with awards to outstanding G7 Printers and G7 Experts. The IDEAlliance G7 Summit will be held Sept. 15, 2008 in New Orleans.
“Launching a G7 Summit is an opportunity for IDEAlliance to bring together the network of those embracing G7 to meet with their peers, learn the latest techniques, and provide input to the association, so we can set a technical agenda for the coming year,” says Dianne Kennedy, Vice President of Publishing Technologies and IDEAlliance GRACoL Program Director. “IDEAlliance, the source of all that is G7, is in the unique position to host this event and will provide new technical content that will be available for the first time during the summit.”
The inaugural G7 Summit will be a single day, and it will be co-located with Extreme Color Management and Spectrum360, events IDEAlliance says will be of interest to those attending the summit.
