IDEAlliance Appoints ICS VP to Board
New York -- IDEAlliance, a not-for-profit membership organization, has elected John Sweeney, vice president of sales and marketing of Integrated Color Solutions (ICS), to serve on the organization's board of directors.
IDEAlliance is a not-for-profit membership organization that has been a
leader in information technology and publishing since 1966. The organization
works to advance core information technology and to develop standards and
best practices to enhance efficiency and speed information across all facets
The latest inductees to the board of directors, including Sweeney, are a
reflection of the IDEAlliance philosophy and an indication that the
organization's dedication remains strong.

Sweeney, who has served in his current capacity with ICS since 2004, is a
proponent of industry standards, digital workflow and automation.
Prior to joining ICS, Sweeney worked for Graphic Microsystems Inc. (GMI), a
manufacturer of closed-loop color control systems for the pressroom, as
director or color measurement systems. Sweeney joined GMI in 1998, after
serving as vice president of the Graphic Arts Technical Foundation (GATF) in
In addition to his new position with IDEAlliance, Sweeney serves on a number
of organizations, including the board of directors of SWOP Inc. and the
CIP4 Advisory Board. Sweeney is also a member of the GRACoL and SNAP
committees and acts as vice president, pressroom, and executive committee
member of the R&E Council of NAPL.
