January IT Spending Strong for The Magazine Manager
Fort Lauderdale, FL, February 6, 2009 - The Magazine Manager, the world's largest magazine management software system, saw sales continue to increase in January with 9 new publishers contracting for their services in 2009.
Said Mark McCormick, President of The Magazine Manager, "Publisher's initial reaction to a deep recession is to cut all spending. But now we are beginning to see the progressive publishers reaching the end of that process. They have reduced their staffs and are now focusing on ways to help their remaining staff become more productive and often times handle duties that were previously handled by multiple employees.
They obviously need a better tool set to do this and The Magazine Manager is becoming part of their solution going forward. Adding new technology is a much more positive process than reducing staff counts, and in addition to increasing productivity it's good for company morale. The focus on efficiency is part of the process that publishers are going through to get back on their feet. We think that has a lot to do with our strong sales for the month of January."
