Economy Struggles, Kiplinger Traffic and Advertising Surge
(Press Release) Washington, D.C. (August 18, 2011)— As the U.S. economy continues to struggle, Kiplinger today reports record web traffic and online advertising revenue during the first half of 2011. Traffic increased an impressive 45 percent January through July 2011 – with 75 million page views, compared with 52 million during the same period in 2010.* Online advertising revenue has increased 58 percent from January through July 2011, compared with the same period in 2010.

Other growth milestones include:
· Unique visitors increased 17.3% year over year to a monthly average of 1.56 million in the first half of 2011.
· The average number of page views per visit grew 17.6 percent, from 5.27 to 6.20.
· Traffic growth incorporates a shift in demographics to younger and more female readers.
· Kiplinger has also implemented social media campaigns and a mobile platform.
