KPG Makes HiFi Color Set Commercially Available
Kodak Polychrome Graphics, Rutherford, N.J., is making its HiFi Color Set - CMYKOG commercially available for the SWOP certified Matchprint Digital Halftone Proofing System.
The color set developed by KPG can achieve accurate six-color process proofing, including stochastic print jobs, KPG officials say.
"In today's marketplace, the need to innovate and improve print quality is driving the adoption of extended gamut process color printing," says Rob Pipe, director of KPG's Worldwide Color Proofing Business. "The HiFi Color Set allows users to deliver accurate, extended gamut process proofs their customers demand."
The Matchprint Digital Halftone Proofing System uses a common RIP to make plates and proofs. The process ensures identical screening on the proof and the plate, a company official says. The officials said KPG tested and approved the HiFi Color Set - CMYKOG for use with Creo Trendsetter Spectrum and ECRM DesertCat 88 platesetters, adding better color management without additional investment.
The HiFi Color Set - CMYKOG is the latest in KPG's line of upgrades to the Matchprint Digital Halftone Proofing System.
