This month, 65 media executives leading digital and technology strategy across B2B, consumer, and association publishing will converge in Philadelphia for the FUSE Media Summit. FUSE caps a busy fall conference season this year, yet its format promises an entirely different experience and value to those who qualify to attend.
Publishing Executive launched FUSE four years ago to help digital media leaders tackle an industry-wide challenge — one that has only heightened since that inaugural summit. Media businesses are becoming more dependent on technology than ever, yet proliferating solutions in the marketplace have made it increasingly challenging for media executives to select, implement, and leverage technologies effectively. That's why we designed FUSE to be a forum for execs to speak candidly and share their technology best practices, as well as meet one-on-one with vendors and more efficiently evaluate new tools and platforms.
A Closer Look at the FUSE Experience
There are four main components to the FUSE format:
- General Sessions: Attendees come together in a ballroom setting for editorial programming, including a keynote, panel discussions, and presentations from industry insiders. Check out our 2019 program preview to see this year's speakers and the topics they'll address.
- Boardroom Case Studies: We break attendees into smaller groups of 10-15 people to hear case studies from leading solutions providers. Vendors share how a publisher or media organization has used their technology, and group members are encouraged to ask questions and engage their peers to probe for answers related to specific business needs.
- 1:1 Executive Meetings: These prescheduled, 20-minute meetings are opportunities for attendees to sit down with vendors and see how different solutions may fit in their tech stacks and help accelerate their media businesses.
- Peer-to-Peer Networking: Over dinner and drinks, attendees have plenty of opportunities to get to know one another and discuss partnership possibilities. We'll also be heading to a new axe-throwing bar in Philadelphia's historic district this year!
