McMurry Launches New Wedding Title
Phoenix-based custom publisher McMurry announced this week the launch of Weddings by The Ritz-Carlton, a new biannual magazine that will be distributed to more than 70 Ritz-Carlton properties worldwide. The premiere issue is set for June.
The company is calling the magazine a "new type of luxury magazine" designed to inspire readers with insights into the trends and traditions of a Ritz-Carlton wedding.
Carrie Tuhy, who was involved with the launches of InStyle and Real Simple, has been named editorial director.
"The guest and advertiser response to a test issue was so strong that McMurry and The Ritz-Carlton have decided to make Weddings by The Ritz-Carlton a permanent, integral part of the media space," said Tracie McLaughlin, publisher.
McMurry also publishes The Ritz-Carlton magazine. The custom media company made headlines in March when it suspended operation of 6 magazine, an ultra-affluent title it launched in 2008.
