Meredith Names Carolyn Bekkedahl SVP of Digital Sales
NEW YORK, N.Y. (August 27, 2012) – Meredith Corporation, the nation’s leading media and marketing company serving women, announced today that Carolyn Bekkedahl has been named SVP/ Digital Sales, effective mid-September.
Bekkedahl will be responsible for overseeing all of Meredith’s digital sales operations across AllRecipes.com and the Meredith Women’s Network. Combined, these properties reach more than 40 million unique visitors monthly. She will report to Dick Porter, President, Media Sales, for the Meredith National Media Group.

Bekkedahl has a diverse career in the media industry, including serving most recently as the Chief Revenue Officer for Gilt City, the local focused arm of the online luxury flash sale discount retailer Gilt Groupe. She was responsible for leading national and local sales, marketing and business development.
Previously, Bekkedahl served as President of Mochila, Inc., a digital leader in premium content syndication. She originally joined Mochila as Chief Digital Officer and was responsible for securing over 350 media brands as partners. She also served as Mochila’s Chief Revenue Officer where she was successful in selling Fortune 500 brands into the contextually-targeted network.
Bekkedahl’s media background also includes serving as President, Corporate Sales, Active Lifestyle and Entertainment Groups, American Media. She also served as SVP, Publisher, Shape magazine, where she transformed the brand into a lifestyle publication. During Bekkedahl’s tenure, Shape earned multiple honors and awards, including three consecutive spots on Adweek’s Hot List. She also has held senior level sales positions with several publications including Woman’s Day, Premiere, and Family Life magazines.
