First-quarter business-to-business trade show revenues declined 20.1% versus one year ago. In the same time period, b-to-b magazine revenues declined 26.1%, generating a combined trade show and magazine decline of 22.9%.

B-to-B M&A Deal Value Plummets
The number of trade magazine and trade show deals fell 14% in the first quarter of 2009, compared to the same period of 2008. The total value of the deals plummeted 91%—from $448 million to $42 million—in this period. But consumer magazine deals were up from 5 in Q1 last year to 15 this year.
