MPA Offers ‘Please Recycle’ PSAs
Earlier this week the Magazine Publishers of America (MPA), the industry organization for consumer magazine publishers, unveiled two new public service advertisements (PSAs) relating to recycling and intended for publishers to feature in their publications.
The PSAs are designed to encourage readers to recycle their magazines. The PSAs are part of the “Please Recycle This Magazine” initiative launched by the MPA earlier in the year.
The first ad states, “Be a Hero. Recycle Your Magazines,” while the second ad says, “Turn Over a New Leaf. Recycle Your Magazines!” and “When you’re done leafing through this issue, please recycle this magazine.”
“The ads are a friendly reminder that every one of us is a citizen of this world, and as such, we each have a responsibility to do what we can to conserve and recycle our resources,” says Nina Link, president and CEO, MPA. “The industry is fully committed to encouraging readers to recycle their magazines after enjoying them.”
Both ads also feature the “Please Recycle This Magazine” logo, are available for download at the MPA’s Web site, and are available in different sizes and formats.
