Paste Launches City-specific Blogs
Paste magazine, an independent music publication now in its sixth year, announced this week the launch of Paste:Local, a new series of city-specific blogs, which will begin in Atlanta, Chicago and New York. Additional cities will be added to the network in the next few months.
Readers of the new city blogs can find local news, reviews, music, interviews and profiles, event listings and more. Each blog will be maintained by a local editor and the content will come from local writers.
"Taking the Paste mission -- 'signs of life in music, film and culture' -- and refining it locally was a natural and necessary progression for the Paste brand," said Josh Jackson, editor-in-chief. "Our Web presence was already strong through pastemagazine.com, which offers exclusive songs and videos, daily news and one-of-a-kind features like 'Dear Diary' -- where artists like G-Love and Josh Ritter blog from the road. Paste:Local will only serve to expand our appeal."
