HANLEY WOOD ACQUIRES B-to-B Publisher Alexander & Edwards
Hanley Wood, a media company serving the residential and commercial construction industries, has acquired San Franscisco-based Alexander and Edwards Publishing Inc., a San Franscisco-based publisher of two housing finance magazines. With the deal, Hanley Wood assumes control of all Alexander and & Edwards assets, including Apartment Finance Today and Affordable Housing Finance, as well as two related industry conferences associated with the magazines.
“This is a critical acquisition for us,” saysid Peter Goldstone, president of Hanley Wood Magazines. “... [We] came across these Alexander and Edwards properties, which serve the information requirements for people interested in housing finance, particularly on the multi-family side. So this was a natural extension of that multi-family platform.”
Affordable Housing Finance targets developers and financiers involved in the development of government subsidized apartment buildings and related community and economic development ventures. Its conference, AHF Live!: The Tax Credit Developers Summit, is a three-year-old show attracting more than 300 attendees, exhibitors and sponsors.
