PennWell Names New Publisher for Water Magazines
PennWell Corporation, a global b-to-b publisher, named Timm Dower publisher of WaterWorld and Industrial WaterWorld, magazines targeted for the U.S. water and wastewater treatment industries.
Dower, who brings nine years of b-to-b publishing experience to his new post, will be based in PennWell’s Tulsa office and report to Robert Smock, senior vice president of PennWell’s Global Energy Group. “Timm Dower brings tremendous enthusiasm, work ethic and experience at a time when the water industry faces huge challenges in providing ultra-high quality drinking water to an expanding population and meeting ever-increasing environmental requirements for wastewater discharge,” Smock says.
Waterworld magazine, with its 58,000 subscribers, has been published monthly since 1984 and is aimed at engineers and other industry professionals at U.S. drinking water and wastewater treatment facilities. Industrial WaterWorld magazine launched in 2000 and serves water treatment plants at industrial sites across the U.S.
“We are pleased to have Timm Dower assume the important position of publisher of our domestic water magazines,” says Robert F. Biolchini, PennWell president and chief executive officer. “He is keenly knowledgeable of the U.S. water industry, our products and our customers. We are enthusiastic about the leadership he will bring.”
