PopSci.com Launches New Android App on The Zumobi Network
(Press Release) SEATTLE, WA, January 12, 2011—The Zumobi Network, a leading premium mobile app network, and Popular Science magazine today announced the launch of the PopSci.com application on the Android platform. This free app, newly redesigned by Zumobi for the iPhone and iPod touch platforms, brings the PopSci.com science and technology news content in the same updated design to the Android platform. The PopSci.com app launches with the F-150 campaign from Ford Motor Company.

This new app's interface includes 'Featured' news articles at the top of the screen and allows users to scroll through thumbnails horizontally. Below, the 'News' section includes a list of all news articles that can be separated into four categories: 'Gear,' 'DIY,' 'Green,' and 'Photos.' The 'Gear,' 'DIY' and 'Green' sections include video and photo content along with the text of each article. The 'Photos' section includes a gallery of images and subhead descriptions. All of this content is easily shared using Facebook, Twitter and e-mail.
