PrintMedia Inducts 4 Production Executives into Hall of Fame
It was an evening dedicated to honoring some of the best and brightest production professionals and recognizing some of the best examples of print produced during the year. The 18th annual Gold Ink Awards and PrintMedia Hall of Fame Banquet was held in September at the Grand Ballroom, McCormick Place, in Chicago, during Print 05.
The Hall of Fame honors production executives from book and magazine publishing, and advertising print production. This year's inductees were Dora Braschi Cardinale, executive vice president, print production, Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia Inc.; Anthony Crouch, director, design and production, University of California Press; Ken Lantz, senior vice president, director of print creative services, Foote Cone & Belding New York; and Barry Meinerth, senior vice president, production and fulfillment, Time Inc.
Each honoree delivered an acceptance speech highlighting some of the best moments of their careers and biggest challenges facing the industry. Also recognized at the banquet were the winners of the 18th annual Gold Ink Awards print-production competition, recognizing excellence in book, magazine and catalog production, magazine inserts, reprints, direct mail and many other print categories.
