Publishing Executive Selected as New Name for PrintMedia
PHILADELPHIA -- PrintMedia, known for nearly two decades as the leading magazine for publication production, workflow and manufacturing, has announced it has officially expanded its editorial mission and circulation base to include content for magazine management and interactive and online publishing. Beginning January 2006 it will be known as Publishing Executive.
Magazine publishing today has exploded beyond the limits of the print-paper-postage delivery model and encompasses many forms of content delivery, says Noelle Skodzinski, editor in chief.
"While print acts as an anchor, magazine brands have grown tentacles. In addition to production and workflow, Publishing Executive will cover growth areas such as digital editions, e-newsletters, Web publishing, webcasts, podcasts, partnerships, custom publishing, audio, video, events and other ancillary products," says Skodzinski.
Publishing Executive will also provide strategic and how-to information on increasing the bottom line and navigation tools to deal with the changing technologies in these challenging times.
"With all of the changes taking place in the industry, publishing executives face an unprecedented need for information to help their companies succeed," says Mark Hertzog, group publisher.
"Publishing Executive will build on PrintMedia's 20-year legacy of providing practical information on technology and best practices for print, and will help readers navigate the new challenges and take advantage of the new revenue opportunities that exist today," adds Hertzog.
Publishing Executive will continue its extensive coverage of print production and workflow, particularly with their increasing impact on profitability. It will provide practical solutions that magazine publishing professionals can use to do their jobs faster, better and more cost-effectively, improving the entire publishing enterprise. With 17,500 subscribers, Publishing Executive has the largest total circulation among magazines serving the publishing market, and by far the largest circulation among executives.
