Reader's Digest Names John Sateja as Senior VP, Business Development
Reader's Digest North America has brought on former Consumer Reports Executive Vice President John Sateja as senior vice president of business development to capitalize and expand on strategic business development opportunities. Sateja will report to Dan Lagani, President, Reader's Digest North America.
"Reader's Digest has leading brands and a large and loyal subscriber base that makes it an attractive strategic business partner," Sateja told Publishing Business Today. "I am excited to be part of the transformation and growth of this iconic company."

Sateja left Consumer Reports in September 2011. He commented in an article in Publishing Executive regarding his departure from CR: "I am leaving Consumer Reports after 11 successful years managing content creation and leading very significant revenue and subscription growth for its product portfolio, including the growth of the largest paid-subscription site of its kind on the Internet—ConsumerReports.org."
Sateja served for many years on the editorial advisory board for Publishing Executive magazine, and delivered the 2006 keynote address for the Publishing Business Conference & Expo and served as the 2009 conference chair.
