Rodale's Senior VP and Group Publisher Makes Move to Esquire
Former Senior Vice President and Group Publisher Jack Essig, who overaw Men's Health and Women's Health since 2009, has been hired to replaces Hearst's Kevin O'Malley, who left his role as Esquire publisher to head up Elle (one of almost 100 titles Hearst acquired from Hachette Filipacchi Media in May) as senior vice president, publisher and chief revenue officer, reported the Wall Street Journal.
Essig joins Hearst Magazines as publishing director and chief revenue officer of Esquire, Fins.com reported Hearst as saying Wednesday. Essig will also oversee Hearst's new men's enthusiast group of publications, according to WSJ.
"Essig will also lead sales and marketing for Hearst's other men's magazines, including Popular Mechanics, Car and Driver and Road & Track," according to the article.
