Veteran Celebrity Journalist Joins Us
Us magazine, which has undergone somewhat of a rebirth since Wenner Media named Bonnie Fuller editor-in-chief in February, named veteran celebrity journalist Jeanne Wolf among five new hires appointed to the staff.
Wolf takes on the role of editor-at-large bringing with her a large network of contacts with Hollywood stars and power brokers. She has served as editor-at-large: entertainment for Redbook and has been a contributing editor with TV Guide magazine. Her television credits include Nightline, Good Morning America and E!, as well as an eponymous PBS show Jeanne Wolf With.
Joining Wolf are Ken Baker, West Coast bureau chief, responsible for overseeing Hollywood magazine reporting; Linda Friedman, West Coast deputy bureau chief, who will assist with reporting celebrity news stories; and Jeremy Helligar and Lori Majewski, two Time Inc. veterans.
Baker's resume includes a stint as a staff correspondent with People magazine and joined Us in summer of 2000. Friedman leaves Teen People where she was a senior editor and established the magazine's West Coast bureau. Helligar becomes a senior editor of Us after an 11-year run with Time Inc., where he last held the post of Teen People's entertainment editor. Majewski, who comes to Us as entertainment director, is also a Teen People alum.
