Victoria to Return to Newsstands Oct. 30
Victoria magazine will come to life again on Oct. 30 as the women’s magazine that ceased publication in 2003 is being re-launched by Hoffman Media. Owned and operated by Hearst Magazines from 1987 to 2003, Victoria will re-launch as a bimonthly magazine with a cover price of $4.99.
Founded in 1987, Victoria covered “romantic living”—from home and garden to fashion, beauty, food, decorating and profiles of women. In its latest form, Victoria will maintain a similar focus.
“Women across the country have longed to have their beloved Victoria back and now they will,” says Phyllis Hoffman, CEO of Hoffman Media, which publishes a number of special-interest magazines including Cooking with Paula Deen. “Victoria is a perfect fit for our roster of lifestyle titles that share a similar editorial and demographic focus.”
The re-launch is the result of a joint venture between Hoffman Media and Hearst and will include heavy newsstand distribution and targeted direct-mail campaigns. Hoffman Media said the goal is to reach 250,000 paid copies after Victoria’s first two issues.
