What Will the Digital Future Hold for Publishers?
Publishing Executive magazine has announced the Grand Opening Session for the 2007 Publishing Executive Conference and Expo, March 5-7 at New York’s Marriott Marquis, Times Square.
Titled “What the Digital Future Holds for Publishers,” the session will be led by Dr. Jeffrey Cole of the University of Southern California’s Annenberg School for Communication. Dr. Cole is director of the Center for the Digital Future, a research and policy institute focused on rapidly evolving communication technologies and mass media. The group is in the seventh year of its ongoing “Digital Future Report,” which studies habits of Internet users and non-users in 25 countries.
Dr. Cole will extract a number of observations from this study and apply them to publishing to shed some light on the effect the digital age will have on this industry. The session is scheduled for 9 a.m. at the Marriott Marquis.
The Publishing Executive Conference and Expo features more than 25 sessions targeted for nearly all magazine publishing executives, including: business management and development, online and interactive media, manufacturing, production and workflow.
