World Color Press Re-signs ESPN The Magazine to Multi-year Deal
World Color Press, formerly Quebecor World, has announced that it has signed a multi-year agreement to continue printing ESPN The Magazine into the next decade. ESPN The Magazine is a bi-weekly sports news magazine with a rate base circulation of more than 2 million and a total audience readership of more than 14 million. It has been one of the fastest growing high circulation magazines over the last five years.
"We have been very proud to have been a part of ESPN The Magazine's extraordinary success, having printed it since its launch in 1998," said Kevin J. Clarke, president of the World Color Press Publishing Services Group. "This new agreement continues a valued relationship that we see growing as ESPN and its many enterprises continue an amazing track record of growth and achievement."
"Quebecor World has been a trusted partner in helping us launch and build a highly successful magazine brand," said Chris Noble, senior director of production, ESPN The Magazine. "It prints and delivers a high-quality magazine for us with a total solutions offering from premedia through mailing and distribution."
In connection with Quebecor World's exit from creditor protection on July 21, 2009 and as part of the company's reorganization, the company has been renamed World Color Press and intends to announce a renewed branding initiative during the next 60 days.
