Condé Nast Entertainment (CNE) develops video and audio content for major media brands including Bon Appétit, GQ, Wired, Vanity Fair, and Vogue – now with the added challenge of remote production during the COVID-19 pandemic. In this episode, we talk to CNE President Oren Katzeff about how the global studio is operating during this trying time and experimenting with new formats from home. “We always talk about failing fast,” Katzeff says. “It’s OK to be wrong as long as your risks and the opportunities that you take are based on both data and gut and you’re being smart about the decisions you make.”
Katzeff shares examples of high-performing videos from Bon Appétit and Wired that are providing viewers with much-needed entertainment and information while they’re sheltering at home and streaming more content. He also discusses how GQ and SELF are using livestreaming to engage fans on social media, as well as addresses the ways CNE is working with advertising partners to deliver value and shift creative for branded content campaigns.
