Condé Nast Names Gillian Gorman Round Senior Vice President, Brand Development
(Press Release) New York, N.Y., February 24, 2012 – Gillian Gorman Round has been named senior vice president, brand development, it was announced today by Bob Sauerberg, president of Condé Nast. In this newly created role, Ms. Round will work collaboratively with the company’s editorial, sales, business development, and technology teams to manage key business initiatives and maximize revenue. Her efforts will focus on growth areas, including e-commerce, membership programs, video, product and sampling. Ms. Round joins Condé Nast, reporting to Mr. Sauerberg, next month.
“Gillian is an experienced marketer with a successful track record of extending brands through revenue-growing platforms,” Mr. Sauerberg said. “Her expertise in aligning consumer offerings with market positioning and business strategy is a great fit for our corporate vision and business objectives.”
Ms. Round comes to Condé Nast from Lancôme USA, a division of L’Oréal Group, where she was senior vice president, marketing, and led teams in marketing, e-commerce, media, and product development to create strategic brand activity that helped her division develop and monetize notable programs and partnerships.
Prior to Lancôme USA, Ms. Round served as vice president of marketing at YSL Beauté USA, where she developed programs that helped the brand achieve double-digit growth, as well as launching the first YSL Beauté e-commerce site. She also held key marketing positions at YSL and L’Oréal UK.
