CondeNet Sites to Participate in New Facebook Application
CondeNet, the digital division of Condé Nast Publications, announced yesterday that it will participate in the new Facebook Ads program, an ad system designed for businesses to connect with users and target the exact people they want to reach. CondeNet’s Epicurious.com and flip.com will be the company’s first participants.
Facebook Ads will allow the sites to spread information virally and to connect and communicate with their audiences in new ways. CondeNet sites will also be able to build pages on Facebook to interact and cultivate a relationship directly with users. In addition, users will be able to view news feeds about actions their Facebook friends take on Epicurious.com and flip.com.
“We jumped into testing several applications soon after the applications were launched on the Facebook platform. We have seen some amazing success, and we are thrilled to be able to participate in this new initiative,” says Sarah Chubb, president of CondeNet. “Facebook naturally encourages people to interact with others who share their interests and passions through the social graph, and connecting people with excellent content and services around their passions is what our brands are all about.”
