Fox Chapel Publishing Appoints Ray Wolf Director, Sales and Business Development
(LANCASTER, PENNSYLVANIA) Fox Chapel Publishing has announced the appointment of Ray Wolf as Director, Sales and Business Development, effective July 15th. The move marks the latest step in the company’s impressive ongoing growth.
Fox Chapel Publishing was founded 22 years ago at a kitchen table. Today the company publishes 50 to 75 new titles a year, with an active backlist of more than 500 titles. Fox Chapel Publishing specializes in books and magazines for woodworking, crafting, and outdoor leisure activities. “We anticipate that Ray will open up new specialty retailer markets for us, accelerating the growth we have already been able to achieve,” said Alan Giagnocavo, Fox Chapel’s founder and president. “Ray has an impressive track record in expanding sales through both independent stores and major retailers. Five years ago we published almost exclusively to niches in the woodworking and DIY categories. With our growth in these categories and new opportunities from our recent acquisitions, we look forward to drawing on Ray’s expertise.”
In 2011 Fox Chapel Publishing acquired Canadian outdoor publisher The Heliconia Press, as well as Texas-based crafts publisher Design Originals.
Wolf previously was publisher of Cool Spring Press for Quayside Publishing Group, and has held a variety of sales and editorial positions at Meredith and Rodale Inc., with a focus on books for homeowners, and sales through specialty retailers. Fox Chapel Publishing is located near Lancaster, Penna.
