Time Inc. CEO Jack Griffin Elected Chairman of MPA
(Press Release) Chicago, IL, October 4, 2010 — Jack Griffin, Chief Executive Officer of Time Inc., was named Chairman of the Board of Directors of MPA - The Association of Magazine Media. The announcement was made by Nina Link, President and Chief Executive Officer, MPA, at the 2010 American Magazine Conference (AMC) in Chicago, Illinois. Hosted by MPA and the American Society of Magazine Editors, AMC is the premiere summit for top-level magazine media executives.
Previously Vice Chairman of the MPA Board, Mr. Griffin takes over for John Q. Griffin, President, Publishing Group, National Geographic, who has completed his term as Chairman. Mr. John Griffin retains his seat on the Board.
Other officers of the Board include: Efrem Zimbalist III, President & CEO, Active Interest Media, Inc., who takes over for Jack Griffin as Vice Chairman; Terry Snow, CEO, Bonnier Corporation, appointed Treasurer; and Tom Harty, President, National Media Group, Meredith Corporation, named Secretary.
