2018 FUSE Media Summit Will Explore Intersection of Technology & Business Strategy
When Publishing Executive conducted research around tech adoption in the media industry last year, publishers indicated that “lack of time and resources" is the biggest obstacle in their quest to adopt new technology. Budgets are still a concern, of course, but the research really speaks to how crunched media executives are by the growing array of technologies they’re tasked with investigating as they constantly build and rebuild their tech stacks.
Cue the lights…
The FUSE Media Summit is back for its third year to help executives leading digital strategy streamline the process of vetting new technologies and identifying those that are most likely to help them succeed. FUSE Media: The Convergence of Technology & Media is an exclusive 2 1/2-day summit designed to accelerate the adoption of technology in the media industry, and will take place Oct. 1-3 in Center City Philadelphia.
The feedback on the first two FUSE summits has been overwhelmingly positive. Watch the video at the bottom of this article if you’d like to hear what 2017 attendees thought about their experience. Having spoken directly with a lot of attendees during and after the summit, beyond the opportunity to concentrate vendor meetings into a short timeline, attendees resoundingly appreciate the opportunity to share notes with their peers at other media organizations.
We developed FUSE in order to provide a forum for these conversations and past summits have been attended by technology-minded exec from top media companies like The Economist, Randall-Reilly, Condé Nast, Time Inc., Hearst, Northstar Travel Media, ALM, Forbes, and more.
Meet the Advisory Board
Once again, we’ve enlisted a group of expert advisors to help put together a killer program, composed of leaders from top B2B and B2C companies and whip-smart technology and strategy consultants. And we’re thrilled to have two conference co-chairs leading the way this year: Michael Dugan, Chief Technology Officer of Hearst Magazines Digital Media and Matthew Yorke, Chief Marketing Officer of SourceMedia. Want to Speak at FUSE Media?
We’re currently putting together the speaker lineup for the 2018 summit and are looking for presenters for our Publisher Spotlight sessions. Previous Publisher Spotlight presenters have shared brief case studies that delve into the intersection of business and technology strategy. Topics have included subscription price optimization, the launch of a progressive web app, and honing a programmatic strategy.
