Forbes, F+W, TMB, Adweek, The Street Among Speakers at FUSE Tech Summit
The FUSE Media Summit is just around the corner and has lined up an impressive speaking roster of digital media executives and technology experts.
Once again conference chair -- and now Adweek CEO -- Jeff Litvack will kick things off with an insightful keynote where he'll give us his diagnosis of the media biz. Litvack will also review his technology predictions from last year to see if he hit the mark. Litvack's session will be followed by a keynote panel featuring technology providers, including BlueConic, PostUp, and Parse.ly.
In a series of Publisher Spotlights, attendees will share their own stories on how they're using technology to drive key business objectives. Forbes SVP of product and tech Salah Zalatino will kick this series off with a presentation on how and why Forbes.com launched its progressive web app (PWA), a faster, app-like mobile website that is supported by Google AMP. Attendees will learn how Forbes.com’s PWA has cut down on load times and increased mobile reader engagement.
Attendees will also hear from Trusted Media Brands on its recent CMS migration and website overhaul and from The Street on how it uses dynamic data models to drive new revenue. F+W CTO Joe Romello will present on the company's innovative content and commerce strategy.
In a forward-looking session, former COO of the NYT Global division of The New York Times James Slezak will examine why publishers need to think beyond the channel and start embracing the "social graph" as a means of distribution. Slezak will explore recent advances in data science that offer the ability to analyze the social graph, directly observing communities that people self-organize into and the clusters of interests and beliefs within them, in order to get the right media and messages to the right people.
Publishing Executive is also excited to announce that it will release an exclusive research study, the FUSE Media Report on Technology Adoption Strategies in Publishing, which will offer exclusive insight on publishers’ technology objectives, obstacles, budgeting, and revenue drivers. The research will be presented by director of NAPCO Media Research Nathan Safran (part of Publishing Executive parent company NAPCO Media), and feature commentary from a panel of FUSE advisors and the Publishing Executive editorial team.
